Use an AI agent to gather your tax notes
It can be hard to remember home office expenses, work trips and estimated tax payments when tax time rolls around. Say them into Memory Notes as they happen, and an AI assistant can gather them for you in April.

Save tax notes by voice during the year
You don't need a spreadsheet or a folder of receipts to sort. Press the Action Button when something happens and say it:
Tax: I bought a home office chair for $240 at IKEA. The receipt is in my email.
Tax: I drove to see the client in Albany and back, 68 miles.
Tax: I paid $1,800 in Q3 federal estimated tax on September 12.
Tax: I donated two bags of clothes to Goodwill on Central Ave.
You don't have to start with "Tax:" because search uses meaning. The prefix does make notes easy to spot and easy for a script to filter.
Ask for a summary at tax time
Connect Claude or ChatGPT to Memory Notes using these instructions, then ask:
Find all my memories from 2026 about taxes, expenses, receipts, mileage or donations. Put them in a table with the date, description, amount and category. Total each category and flag anything without an amount.
The assistant can page through your notes with list_memories, which takes a start date, or find them with search_memories. It gives you a table to paste into a spreadsheet or send to your accountant.

Run a script for quarterly tax notes
For a CSV every quarter, you can use a short script with an access token to do the same thing without a chat. The script lists notes since January 1, keeps those that start with "Tax:", and asks a model to extract the date, amount and category.
const since = "2026-01-01T00:00:00Z";
let cursor;
const taxNotes = [];
do {
const { structuredContent } = await notes.callTool({
name: "list_memories",
arguments: { since, limit: 100, cursor },
});
taxNotes.push(
...structuredContent.memories.filter((m) => /^tax:/i.test(m.content.trim())),
);
cursor = structuredContent.nextCursor;
} while (cursor);
// Hand taxNotes to your model with a prompt like:
// "Return CSV: date, description, amount, category. Use the note's capturedAt
// when the note doesn't say a date."Memory Notes for iPhone and iPad
Record a note by voice in a second or two, then find it by asking a question. Memory Notes answers from your notes and shows you the one it used. For iPhone and iPad.
