On iPhone 15 Pro or later: Settings → Action Button → swipe to Controls → choose Record Memory (Memory Notes). Press and hold the Action Button to start recording, then press and hold again or tap Stop to save.

You can also add the Record Memory control to Control Center or the Lock Screen, or say “Record a memory in Memory Notes” to Siri.

Yes, to sync between devices, use Ask or connect an AI assistant. Sign in with your email and a one-time code; there’s no password. Memories you saved before signing in are kept and start syncing.

Yes. Recording, transcription and browsing all work offline. If you’re signed in, new memories sync on their own when you’re back online. Ask needs a connection.

Ask answers only from your own memories. Check that the memory is in Memories and that it has synced (you’re signed in and online). If the transcript misheard a word, edit the memory and ask again.

Yes. Each question is a search, and your plan includes 150 (Regular) or 300 (Heavy) a month, shared between the app and any AI assistants you connect. See Plans and subscriptions below.

Transcription happens on your iPhone or iPad. When you’re signed in, a recording may also be sent to our speech-to-text and AI providers for a more accurate transcript. When you use Ask, your question and the text of your memories are sent to our AI providers to answer it. Details are in the privacy policy.

See Connect AI agents. For Claude Code, Cursor or your own agent, create an access token in Account → Connected apps. You can revoke it there at any time.

Swipe left on a memory to delete it, or open it and tap Delete memory. To delete your account and all its data, open Account (the person icon at the top of the screen), tap Delete account at the bottom and type DELETE to confirm. Everything is erased from our servers and from that device right away, and you’re signed out. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel an App Store subscription, so cancel that in your Apple ID settings. You can also email support@emodino.com from the address you signed in with, and we’ll confirm when it’s done.

In the app, open Account → Plan → See plans, pick Regular ($1.99/month, 200 notes and 150 searches) or Heavy ($4.99/month, 1,000 notes and 300 searches), and confirm with Apple. You don’t need an account to subscribe.

To switch, open Account → Plan → Change plan. Moving up to Heavy starts right away, and Apple credits what’s left of your Regular month. Moving down to Regular starts at your next renewal.

Cancel in your Apple ID settings: on your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions → Memory Notes. You can also get there from Account → Plan → Manage subscription in the app. Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid the next charge. You keep your plan until the end of the month you’ve paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

On a new device or after reinstalling, tap Restore Purchases on the plans screen, or Account → Plan → Restore purchases. Use the same Apple Account you subscribed with. If you signed in to Memory Notes, signing in on the new device also brings your plan along.

A note is any memory you create: a voice recording, a typed note, or one a connected AI assistant saves for you. A search is a question you ask in Ask, or a search or question from a connected assistant. Editing and deleting don’t count, and deleting a note doesn’t give it back to your monthly total.

On the 1st of each month, at midnight UTC (the app shows it in your time zone). Unused notes and searches don’t carry over. If you reach a limit, you can wait for the reset or switch to Heavy.

The trial lasts 7 days from when you first open the app, with no card needed, and nothing is charged when it ends. After that, Memory Notes is read-only until you subscribe: you can open, read, play, edit and delete your notes, but not add new ones or search.

Yes. Not subscribing, or cancelling, never deletes anything. Your notes stay on your device and, if you’re signed in, in your account. You can keep reading, editing and deleting them, and everything works again as soon as you subscribe.
