Voice notes for coding agents

Ideas about your code can come up when you're away from your desk, whether you're on a walk, in the shower or awake at 2 a.m. Say them into Memory Notes, and your coding agent can pick them up when you're back at your desk.

Capture coding ideas with voice notes

Dev, recipe app: the favorites screen flickers when switching tabs. It might be the list key.

Dev idea: cache the weather API for ten minutes. We're calling it every time a page loads.

Dev: ask Sam if the billing webhook retries on 500s.

Connect your coding agent over MCP

For Claude Code, run:

claude mcp add --transport http --scope user memorynotes https://memorynotes.emodino.com/api/mcp

Next, go to /mcp → memorynotes → Authenticate. For Cursor, create an access token under Account → Connected apps, then add it to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (Cursor details).

Use your voice notes at your desk

Look at my memories from the past three days that start with "Dev". For each one about this repo, find the relevant code and suggest a fix or plan.

Make GitHub issues from my dev memories this week, with good titles and repro steps.

Your agent lists your recent notes, reads the relevant ones and works in your repo using what it already knows. That way, the thought you had on your walk is still there when you get back to your keyboard.

Memory Notes for iPhone and iPad

Record a note by voice in a second or two, then find it by asking a question. Memory Notes answers from your notes and shows you the one it used. For iPhone and iPad.
